How to Become An Actor

ACTING INTENSIVE

For Young Adults (16+)

This workshop is for serious young actors with stage and/or film experience. We'll be working with short but deep material, experimenting on camera. Our aim will be to strengthen focus and concentration; to improve and deepen emotional access; to push ourselves to take greater creative risks and make more imaginative choices. This workshop will be somewhat project-oriented: we want to shoot enough high quality footage to produce two avant-garde shorts and to provide sample clips for participants.

December 29 -> 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM/December 30 -> 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Actors may attend either or both sessions. Each 4-hour class will feature enhanced work on voice, speech, relaxation, character development and script analysis.

At The Actor's Workshop

The studio is located at 25129 Dequindre Road in Madison Heights, in a two-story building with a red brick façade just north of 10 Mile Road. We are on the west side of Dequindre, kiddie-corner from LA Coney Island. PARKING AND ENTRANCE ARE IN THE BACK. You'll see our sign next to our entrance. We're on the left at the top of the stairs.

$35 per session or $60 for both

Advance registration is kindly requested. Actors can sign up over the phone (248-919-8233) or online.
