Title: NOTHING EVER CHANGES
Logline: An aspiring filmmaker returns to his small hometown for a funeral and crosses paths with an escaped convict.
Synopsis: When Henry Harris returns home for his grandmother's funeral, he introduces his new wife to family and friends. They all welcome her kindly as they pay their last respects. His young brother-in-law accidentally captures a fleeting infidelity which causes his wife Kate to kick him out. He returns to his hometown where he crosses paths with a high school acquaintance and becomes a hostage of three escaped prison convicts, one of whom is also a former high school classmate. Henry realizes that if the ransom isn't paid, they will all die. He wins the wary trust of the leader of the convicts and volunteers to secure the money. This buys him temporary freedom and he returns home to retrieve and sell a valuable vintage Les Paul guitar. Kate arrives to tell him she's pregnant and wants to make up. He welcomes this plan but must rescue the hostages first.
Dates: This film will be shot over time, mostly weekends, through the fall and early winter. The first dates are October 28-30. Next dates are in November. We expect to spread out shooting through January 2024.
Location: Metro Detroit area and southeastern Michigan.
